How did you get
started making
graphics?
It all started with
a dream to make
beautiful graphics,
though I did not
have a clue how to
start. I just sat
down at my computer
and starting playing
around with my
graphic programs. My
dad taught me that
"Practice makes
perfect". Though we
will never be
perfect, the more we
do something the
better we become at
it. I also prayed a
lot. I believe as
Christians, we have
the best teacher of
all living right
inside of us. I
would ask Him to
show me how to do
something and He
would.
What advice can you
give me about
learning to make
graphics?
I say that if you
have a dream, GO FOR
IT! The internet is
a big place and
there is plenty of
room for all of us
out there. We have a
whole world of
opportunities right
at our fingertips.
There are countless
online tutorials out
there that will
teach you most
anything you want to
learn. When I first
started out, I did
not know about these
tutorials, so I had
to learn the hard
way. lol Please
understand that
though I am not
totally insensitive,
because I remember
when the dream was
first birthed in me,
that time just does
not allow for me to
"teach" everyone who
asks me to how to
make graphics. Let's
be realistic. I
would never have
time to take care of
my family or my own
web sites. But do an
online search for
tutorials.
What programs do you
use to make graphics
with?
I use both PSP and
PhotoImpact.
Can I make my own
title to go with a
set or make a few
changes to the set?
I am a business. How
would I ever make
money if I let
everyone do this? It
is also a reflection
on my work. If my
name goes on a set,
I want it to be
worthy to do so. If
you want some
changes made to the
set, please ask me
and I will do it for
you for a fee. As to
titles, if you know
how to use PSP, you
can make a
transparent gif
image and use a
color of font that
will go with the
set, but please do
not use my graphics
to make a title as
this goes against my
terms of use.
How do I publish a
page to the web?
If you will upload
the html with the
graphics it will
work, even on a
yahoo site. I use
Microsoft Front Page
to make my pages
with. The easiest
way I have found is
to edit your page in
Microsoft Front
Page. When you have
made your changes,
save it and then
upload it to your
servor. Please
understand that I am
in no way obligated
to tell you how to
"make a page work".
I offer web sets for
you to use on your
sites. Linkware for
personal use only
and Payware for both
personal and
commercial sites.
But it is up to you
to get it up on your
site. If you use
other editor
programs other then
Microsoft Front
Page, then I don't
know what to tell
you anyway as
Microsoft Front Page
is all I have ever
used. I will no
longer be building
web sites for others
as I want to devote
my time to just
creating web sets
and also working on
my Poetry site. I
now have two web
sites of my own to
maintain and I am
sure it will take
longer.
